Claude Managed Agents can now write and run their own multi-agent workflows

Anthropic's release notes add a new beta feature to Claude Managed Agents: an agent can now write a workflow, a small program that runs many agents in stages and merges what they bring back. Anthropic's servers run it in the background, and progress arrives as a stream of events.

Developers switch it on with a beta header and a multi-agent setting in the API. There was no announcement beyond the documentation.

Why it matters

Agents orchestrating fleets of other agents is now something a provider hosts for you, not something you have to build yourself. That makes it easier to build bigger agent systems, and harder to keep track of what each part is doing.
