Amazon reported in talks to buy Decart for about $7 billion

Simulated worlds for training robots and self-driving cars are becoming something Big Tech pays a premium to own.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Amazon is negotiating to buy Decart, which makes real-time video generation and simulated environments used to train robots and autonomous vehicles. Anthropic reportedly dropped its own pursuit at about $6 billion in September. Decart was valued at nearly $4 billion in May.

There's no announcement yet; these are reported talks.
