NVIDIA says fine-tuned versions of its Nemotron 3 Ultra model reached gold level at two 2026 olympiads.
- IOI 2026 (informatics): Nemotron-3-Ultra-CC scored 535.4 out of 600. The gold threshold was 361.12 and the top human scored 498.27. This was an unofficial live run under contestant rules and isn't in the official ranking.
- IMO 2026 (mathematics): a generate, verify and refine system built on Nemotron 3 Ultra scored 30 out of 42, against a gold threshold of 29. NVIDIA says official IMO graders marked the proofs.
NVIDIA says the model weights, papers and its IMO pipeline are all public on Hugging Face. The scores haven't been independently checked.
Why it matters
Earlier olympiad golds came from closed frontier labs. If NVIDIA's release holds up, this is a result anyone can reproduce.
